About the Planetarium
The Fujitsu Planetarium at De Anza College is the largest school Planetarium west of the Rocky Mountains and since our renovation, is one of the most modern in the world.
The Planetarium is shared by the College Astronomy and Community Education Departments. When used as a classroom, it serves over 2700 college students per year. The Astronomy program at De Anza is the largest in the California State Community College System.
About 35,000 community members, including students from pre-school through high school, attend these shows and events every year.

Experience our NEW Laser!
Laser shows have been an exciting De Anza Planetarium attraction for decades, and we are getting a major upgrade with a modern laser show system! Our new system from Laser Fantasy immerses audiences with vibrant images & music to inspire a new generation of audiences. Full-color laser projectors will create dazzling aerial beams over your heads and captivating laser graphics on our 50-ft. dome via an advanced control system. Laser Fantasy Laser Systems incorporate the latest professional level laser show software and features.
The Planetarium is located on the De Anza College Campus, behind the Science Center Building next to parking Lot E.
Parking is $3 every day of the week including weekends with parking machines located in each lot. We suggest Lot E for weekend shows. Please allow time to park and purchase a parking permit before the start of the show.
To book a special event or field trip, please call during office hours: Monday to Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Planetarium show times for the public are
Saturdays during October–May, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
