I am majoring in Biological Sciences and am an aspiring surgeon. I am going into my third year here at De Anza and hope to transfer in the Fall of 2025. The STEM field is such a difficult field, especially for the Undocumented, Latinx/Hispanic, first-generation community so having a community like UndocuSTEM is important for me to be a part of by supporting students. By being the PR & Outreach Coordinator this school year I hope to provide as much academic and personal support as I can possibly can to our students by finding ways to collaborate with on-campus and outside off-campus organizations to give undocumented students the opportunity to be a part of research programs that can help within the [STEM] field of interest. I am excited to work with the UdocuSTEM team and to see how our community continues to grow this school year. I ‘am a DACA recipient this is my second year at De Anza majoring in sociology one of my goals is to transfer to a UC. My career goal is to become a social worker and help those in my community. Hello everyone my name is Matsuko Estrada Nakamatsu, my pronouns are she/her. This is my 2nd year in De Anza, and I love helping and connecting with my Latino and non Latino community! I am first generation in my family, and I'm Peruvian and Japanese, my family is very multicultural, and we speak a variety of languages. I am Co owner and Founder of Dones y Talentos Dance Academy. Coordinator for HEFAS. I'm currently in my second year, majoring in communications,
with plans to transfer to a four-year university to work in HR. I enjoy trying new
foods plus boba spots, spending quality time with my family and friends, hanging out
with my cat, and going on spontaneous trips. I'm grateful for this internship opportunity

UndocuSTEM Event Coordinator
Hello everyone! I'm Daryel Hernandez (He/Him), and I'm excited to introduce myself as this year's UndocuSTEM Event Coordinator. A little bit about me. I'm originally from the Valley and come from a Mexican and Peruvian background. I love to play games, be active around campus, watch video essays, and learn about my cultural roots. I am currently pursuing a double major in Psychology and Policial Science, with my sights set on transferring to UC Berekley in the fall of 2024. As an Events Coordinator, my primary goal this year is to create a unique and inclusive events to connect and uplift our diverse De Anza Community, I'm excited to be more involved with my De Anza community and can't wait to meet everyone!
