IMPACT AAPI is a learning community that supports academic achievement by Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander students – especially those from Pacific Islander (including Samoan, Tongan, Chamorro and Hawaiian) and Southeast Asian (including Cambodian, Filipinx, Hmong, Lao and Vietnamese) backgrounds.

Our goal is to close the gaps in academic achievement and transfer among Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander students at De Anza, especially students from backgrounds that have been historically underrepresented or underserved in higher education.
IMPACT AAPI is a project of the Student Success and Retention Services program, which is part of the Equity and Engagement Division at De Anza College.
How To Apply
All SSRS programs begin in the summer with program specific orientations and our Summer Bridge experience.
We will begin accepting applications to our programs in May.
If you are interested in joining any of our SSRS programs, please complete the following steps:
- Apply to De Anza College
- Make sure the Assessment Office has your high school transcript, in order to determine your English placement.
- Complete the SSRS online interest form.
- Attend orientation for the college or a specific program in July.
- Attend Summer Bridge in late August.
