Improve (formerly Tracdat) by Nuventive was the product selected to manage our campus-wide assessment efforts from 2011-12 until Winter quarter 2019-2020. It provided a user-friendly platform for all units to capture and manage assessment activities and data, while enabling the alignment of campus assessment activities with strategic initiatives.
The system could be accessed either from Employees tab on MyPortal as one of the "single sisgn-on" applications or at De Anza's TracDat login page. If one attempted to login in the latter way you will need to use your special tracDat login. Either way, access privileges were assigned individually.
Details for using the system, including procedures for obtaining a username and password, could be found in the following instruction manuals:
- TracDat manual for general users
- TracDat manual for department chairs/heads
- TracDat manual for division deans (under construction)
Faculty workshops were held frequently to introduce new users to the system. Also there were two special SLO Office hours per week where faculty could be trained on Improve data entry system.
The following worksheets were for faculty to use if they were not yet trained on TracDat. Later they could enter the information into TracDat or SLO liaison could do so for them
